The action was taken solomon. I do not know much about mx because I rarely ever used it, but your explanation seems logical.

QuickMX constantly hammers the supernodes with requests. If enough people use it, the WinMX network will be shut down, as if by massive dos attack - just like the overuse of DonkeyBot virtually collapsed the eDonkey network 2 years ago.

So it's a good thing that QuickMX is so buggy.

Thanks. This app, as tm said, is a drain on the network. Advertising it is a really bad idea.

quickmx isn't as big as a drain as everyone says if the necessary precautions are taken and you're not looking for 100 files at the same time...and you're a primary.
