Hi Looter ..

Ok I have a few things for you to look at if your still having probs..
One is a link that talks about the ports and your internal IP, in most routers its very important to know what IP your rule is for.

Most of that info you probably aready know but just look it over in case you missed somthing..
Then when you forward your ports make sure you set them similar to below:

WinMX..TCP..6699 to 6699 192.168.?.? enable
WinMX..UDP..6257 to 6257 192.168.?.? enable
If your still having troubles after you have a look there let me know ..

whois shows that =
WinMX Technology Associates
PO Box 50
Port Vila,
Record last updated on 15-Aug-2005.
Record expires on 08-Oct-2008.
Record created on 08-Oct-2000.
Domain servers in listed order:

the dns record still points to froncode servers, but the server are no longer serving.
Without that, winmx won't work.
However, I was told that open nap still works.
I didn't think the RIAA would scare Kevin, but looks like it did.
I don't think that he really cared about winmx anymore anyway.
So unless the a server is set up that winmx can connect to to get a list of primary connections, it is dead in the water. Only time will tell what will happen. RIP winmx....for now.
