P 2 P Revolution Launched

Postby Dazzle » Fri Apr 08, 2005 4:47 am

Well I,m glad to be able to announce today the launch of a WinMx hash site.
Boasting over 100,000 hashes and still counting
the site is the brainchild of the Vladd44
And KingMacro forums together with some assistance from CricketMx.

http://www.p2p-revolution.com/

You may have heard me previously referring to one of our secret weapons in the flooding struggle, this is an important landmark in that battle.

You will find a custom designed program on the site, that will automatically drop the details of the file being searched for directly into your transfers window, where it will find sources for you.

Please folks, enjoy the site, and remember your a part of a great community and we want it to stay that way.

I can,t thank you guys enough, Cheers KM, Vladd , and to all those who helped and sent in hashes 8)

KM being involved really makes me trust this. Pfft.
Doesn't really matter to me anymore anyway as I don't use MX any more.

Well, for my two penn'orth, I'm only glad that someone out there is taking the trouble to restore a useful resource to the P2P community.

I don't know the people concerned, but at least they're doing something and I'm grateful to them

It's meant to tackle this presumably:

WinMX getting more and more spammed with fake users...

Doesn't sound a bad thing.
(Tho I don't use WinMX either :) )

I think a common sense approach of looking at the site first and then deciding what action to take is sensible.
The site has no forum and is purely there as a reference point like the tracker sites, Or would you like them banned too ?

Informing people is what I enjoy doing, and is probably the reason this site was set up, lets not burn books and censor things because we dont like the messenger.

Thank you to the folks who have taken the time to look at the site and understand the need for it.
