iMesh 5 Final Clean?

Postby OhMyGod » Tue Jan 25, 2005 12:07 pm

On the iMesh Home page http://www.imesh.com it said it was 100% clean, NO adware, NO spyware and NO Popups. I have not tried it myself but after reading the user opinions on download.com http://www.download.com/3302-2166_4-10311741.html, it appears that iMesh is just doing the same claim as Sherman Networks did with Kazaa. Well the truth will come out, and if it has spyware or adware then iMesh has lied to everyone and can not be trusted.
Maybe some can verify if it is infected or not.

Thanks. :)

Imesh was never trusted in the first palce....anyways whats the point? Fasttrack is infected with more then enough trash to compensate for a clean client anyways.

This is just not a FastTrack client, it is multi-network. Gnutella and eDonkey and suppost to include BitTorrent in the future simular to eXeem. iMesh did away with the original FastTrack iMesh 4 and went multi-networking on iMesh 5. But I do believe that it is spyware infected and iMesh is lying about it.

Thanks. :)

I read the EULA. It is bundled with Cydoor adware.

If it has Cydoor  then it is infected with spyware and adware and iMesh is lying to everyone about it. I just believe that it should be exposed for the lies about 100% spyware and adware free.

Thanks. :)

I have also found out that the new iMesh 5 is also infected with the "iMesh Bar" which is a part of My Search Bar and Hotbar spyware. iMesh has completely lied to everyone. This adware and spyware is included in the user agreement for this program.

Thanks.

iMesh won't change.. If it's not filled to the rim with spyware, they'll be charging people to use it.

Screw iMesh.

To any normal person it would seem that the Imesh people are simply outright liars.

But wait - they redefined the term "spyware" many years ago (they created that famous no-spy symbol), so all the stuff that we all call 'spyware', they do not call spyware. So they rename it something like "enhanced value products" instead of calling it what it really is - SPYWARE.

So the absolute worst spyware-filled P2P can make the claim that it is "100% clean"!

Brilliant, huh?

It's also worth noting that Imesh recently made a $4 million settlement with the RIAA in which they agreed to filter search requests and perform other unspecified services to the RIAA.

iMesh and Kazaa both need to be added to the list of scam sites since both are so dis-honest about adware and spyware.
