iMesh 5.5 Beta with the New iMesh Network Released

Postby Jasp » Wed Aug 10, 2005 9:57 pm

iMesh just released their new beta with the new iMesh Network.
This iMesh 5.5 beta supports the new iMesh Network, FastTrack(Kazaa), Gnutella and G2. I decided to try it out. I downloaded a total of 7 new songs at 192kbps from this new iMesh Network and I didn't get no fakes or no copyrighted songs. This new iMesh Network seems to be good. It still requires you to install the iMeshBar adware but it is easy to uninstall with your add or remove programs. And it still serves you ads in its interface. Other than that it has no other crapware installed with it. It gives you options about what Networks that you want to connect to except FastTrack displayed on the program with a Kazaa symbol which is required but you don't have to download from it. The other Networks can be enabled or disabled. The new iMesh Network is displayed on the program by an iMesh symbol, and Gnutella & G2 displayed by the same blue Gnutella symbol. The program still has bugs because it is still a beta, but it worked very well on my computer.

It still has MySearch Bar spyware, but it is easy to uninstall and has Cydoor for advertisement but no popups. And yes iMesh is still alive enough though it not popular here, it has been in the top downloads on for several months even made it to #2 for 3 weeks.
I guess some people don't know there is any better P2P clients to use. I kind of wonder just how good this new iMesh network is going to be.

ThankYou. :)
