Hi all,

It's been over a years since i move from winmx to emule. This app is really good, but there is one thing i couldn't do as much as winmx. It is the search result of japanese file. HHmm, anyone know where can i get the ed2k link or which server if i connect to have the most japanese media return?

Thanks

Well I don't know any japanese ed2k sites, just chinese ones(but I hope someone will help you with it).

About the server thing, it doesn't matter which server you connect to as far you use Global search. But I would advise you searching using Kad, because it returns less fakes.

With the right patch on winmx you dont get fakes, pity other networks dont take on board the simple methods to remove fake files and listings. I tried emule myself once while testing it for a website review in 2005 , It didnt rate too highly with me back them anything changed in the general system ?

btw the latest statistics on uptake of the winmx patch for the Japaneses area is running at 958+ downloads a day average (over thousand yesterday alone) and I can confirm they make up 50% of the entire networks population.

Thanks for the info,

I still love winmx and i am extremely active there. However after i move out from australia to brunei... my internet speed changed. Over here the upload link is extremely unstable, so i couldn't upload properly and i got banned by all the japanese user, so i move to emule...
If anyone come across on how to find jaoanese file like in winmx, please let me know.
Thanks

There's a Japanese program called Share that has lots of Japanese files ( you probably want porn). You can replace the language with English. It's a little complicated, like Freenet, which it's based on.

I was under the impression Share was a revamped version of Winny Napho, any links to where it says this is a Freenet variant ?

I don't think a link will work, it's on a private site. It started out as a replacement for Winny, but I think it's leaning towards Freenet lately as it gets developed.

"Share is a Japanese peer-to-peer file sharing client and network for Windows based on a similar model to the English Freenet and Japanese Winny. A recent test suggested that Share has perhaps the second largest collection of new JAV releases after OpenNap ahead of WinMX and BitTorrent. For new files with multiple sources, Share is one of the fastest clients out there. As many western ISPs have taken to throttling bandwidth for WinMX, BitTorrent and eMule, you may be able to escape this through the use of Share.

The official homepage for Share is apparently hosted on Freenet 0.5"

Thanks for the reply,

I am using share for quite a while too. I find that the number of file shared is started to decreasing and after reading many article. They are moving on to perfect dark, however it is not really a nice program for me so far.
I admit i am looking for porn hehe, but it is a specify type of category, that's why it's rare.

Heh, my experience with this is that when using eMule, you should always search using Kad. You actually don't really need to connect to ed2k servers at all. However, Kad search doesn't work so well with unicode search strings (japanese or chinese) and doesn't seem to return as many results as it should, so when looking for japanese porn, it's best to search for the movie's code (eg: NDHT-316) than its title, you will get many more results and they will be much more accurate. I never got a fake with this method. Plus, there are many, many sites on the internet that sell those movies on DVD, you can just check their listings have a look at the cover, and search for the code of those that look interesting... Works great

Yea, I have been practicing using the movie code and NDHT is one of my collection :p hhmm, i guess i am on the right track so far on finding my stuff in emule. I have read the boolean seach operator, is that effective also in movie code? i mean based on your experience.

Interesting. But how does one find out what a particular movie's code is?

As for Unicode searches, they seem to work well to me. Or at least, I have had plenty of success finding obscure Japanese movies that way.

My way on finding the movie code is to search in the internet mainly the japanese movie seller website. i usually collect my collection based on producer, so i visit the movie producer website and search for their code. some famouse producer is SOD, and some famouse movie reseller is Av-navi. If you want the link, you can pm me, not too sure whether the forum can post live link.

And, speaking of OpenNap, a recent search on several OpenNap networks returned a lot of japanese material as this quoted quote implies. You can use your favorite WinMX program to connect to most of them.

I have problem using openNap, Currently i am using utatane, since my uplink is extremely unstable, so i couldn't complete even one download from a user, after restarting of my computer, i have to redownload the whole thing again. In utatane, it doesn't remember my download at all.

Hi pocs,
The help you are looking for with Utatane is relatively easy. Rather than shutting down your pc, if you need to log off connected nets, do so by cutting the link, and just minimizing Utatane, no real need to shut down your pc just to log off nets. As long as the file stays visible in the top transfer window, you will be able to resume the download just fine from the same user perhaps the next day when you connect the servers again. Once that file leaves the transfer window, it does not resume, and you do need to start over. Hope this helps :D Happy sharing!!

Hello again pocs,
I wish to correct myself on my last post, which was not accurate. I had tried to resume a download before with Utatane and it did not work properly, so I sought and used alternatives (I was doing it incorrectly before). I have since tried it again with Utatane, and it works perfect (even if you completely shut down Utatane). Here is how to do it, first try to remember the user name that you are trying to download from, and the exact file size. Make sure this second time, that you choose the same file/name/size, (same user if possible). Start Utatane, do a direct browse of the user if you are able to find the same user. Select the same file in that browse or a search, right click on the file and choose resume. This will open the folder to where the incomplete file is, select that same file, and it will resume perfectly. I hope this is of MUCH more help to you, and to any others who may have also been doing it incorrectly as I was. Happy sharing and resuming!! :)

wow, hehehe that's a good trick, i will try to do it next time when i use utatane. hhmm, i just don't know why whenever i try to queue the same user, i will get the status busy or i can't connect at all...i might get banned by the user since i have a very slow upload speed. the thing is, my upload is sometime unstable in utatane but it is constantly fast in emule..lol, i missed all the japanese file that i need to download....

maybe i should set up a private ftp and we can do some sharing.....heheheh
