damn hypermule spam

Postby Ratt » Sun Sep 09, 2007 1:49 pm

You know, the
download HyperMule - fastest eMule ever!!!

comments. It was annoying enough when it only showed up as a grey, neutral comment. Now it's entered as an "invalid/corrupt/fake" comment, so of course you check the comments to see if there's something wrong with the file. Only to find the same spam 99% of the time.

If there isn't a fix for this yet, there probably will be real soon.

I've just started adding anyone running a spamming client to my banded Ip's list.
I just got sick of trying to write more and more complex filtering of message strings.

How do you ban specific clients anyway? Just curious since I never really did anything like that.

Yessir! Back from the land of the walking braindead. Otherwise known as retail land! I've heard questions that can melt your brain! Oh the horrors i've seen!

And i'm more jaded, sneeringly distrustful, contemptuous, pessimistic, sarcastic and cynical than ever! It seems nearly impossible that my opinion of humanity can get any lower!

But theres always tomorrow!
