Just visited the official eMule Plus forum and it's pitiful. There's not been an updated version realeased since the start of this year. What's going on - is the project dead?

emule plus is just a branch code.
Why run that. Branches always get updates from the
main line code way late.

This is the root code branch.
You should be running this.

I think eMule Plus doesn't update it's code from the original. The devs of the project have stated repetidly on their forum that they won't implement kad because they don't believe it's useful to the program. However, this mod runs very good for me and its worth a try. It's updated now so...

Emule Plus is great for easing newbies into the Emule userbase. More straightforward, less intimidating. Sure, the experience is somewhat more limited because of the lack of Kad, but a newbie is not going to look for very rare stuff anyway, and when what you want is fairly popular then the difference is negligible.

Yea, because we ALL know HouseCrowd is a n00b.

But yea, eMule Plus is just eyecandy for emule minus the kad support. If you don't download very rare files, KAD isn't even needed really. All it does is eat up more overhead and cpu cycles. It also creates hell with most people's junk routers.
