Is Emule dying?

I noticed the last few days most of the most populer servers have either been offline or missing. I noticed tonight when I logged on most of the servers was gone only "bigbang" server was there the rest where crap servers.

I am not a big fan of emule the downloads take to long due to my firewall on my router and its to complicated to fix. I prefer torrents more because even with the firewall I get alot faster speeds then emule plus the files are alot cleaner and not as polluted. Only bad thing is about torrents is emule has a better selection of files and is alot easier to find files.

Emule is alive and kicking as far as I can see.
Try for your server list.

Open up your ports you are using in your configuration, get a HighID, gets files quicker.

Go here ( to get some info about how to do it for your router. It's not that hard and will certainly help.

Sorry, I just don't see the same thing that you're seeing. All the servers that I use are still there - and they're not "crap" servers.

There's more than just the BiG BanG servers, you know.

Why should eMule die even if some servers go offline? People can still use Kad and the servers really don't have anything to do with eMule and the development of eMule. Still the developers do talk. :)

I wonder if many people are doing what I do.

Which is, not bother with the servers at all and just connect using kad? :?

Hence why the number of people on the servers could be falling?
