how fast do you upload and download?

how fast so you guys upload and download? and what is your internet connetion?

i have a 5mb/s ip and down connection.
i have my upload limit set to 500kb/s but they download from me at 399kb/s usually. my download speed are 10kb/S but sometimes if i'm lucky i get 80kb/s.

My caps are set at 96kb/s down, 45kb/s up. I'm constantly at my up cap, and I've hit my down cap a couple of times. If I'm hitting both caps, my browsing speeds are compromised though. :?

I download and upload at 54mbps. on my LAN. But since thats all my connection icon tells me in XP thats all im telling you. :P

look at your statistics graph , the pink line for upload, and see if its level, or spiky.

Spiky means you're upload is set too high or another program is competing for upload bandwidth. Spiky is always bad. You will drop download connections, and have slow download rates.

Level then your upload is set low enough so that you aren't cloggin the connection. And this is good, allows download to preceed normal. You may be able to raise the limit a bit with out impacting your downloads.

My d/l is 950 KB/s u/l 125 KB/s.
