The Ugly Truth

Very entertaining, fast moving, fun and funny romance.
Katherine Heigl played her part very well.
9 out of 10
The Ugly Truth

and...

My Sister's Keeper

Good, but very heart wrenching. I say good, but that does not mean I agree with the choice the Mother made.
7.5 out of 10
My Sister's Keeper

Ok, I have one more to add, this one I watched tonight, and there is a very dense fog outside so add that to the atmosphere for watching this one, and I think I will be up for a few more hours now that I am done watching it.

Wait Until Dark (1967) with Audrey Hepburn

This movie was recommended, and yes, it was very good.

OK, ok... I have to say it... I went to see "New Moon" 2009...

I was just there for the werewolf's really.

This was a girls night out viewing... None of the boys in my weekly film group
wanted to see this. After having seen it I don't blame them..
Before the film started they ran maybe 5 trailers all for brain dead romance moives.
All of which the audience groan at.

Now on to New Moon, the same emo story from the last film continues.
Miss soon to be midnight snack..Wishes that her boyfriend vam would just bite her
and maker her a vam too so they can live together without the danger of her
becoming a midnight snack for his roomies.

Ya what ever... bring on the wolf....

I'll stop here.. at this point hunkie boys pull off there shirts and the girls go oooooooh...
it's dumb. but it's just the type of film for 14 to 22 year olds.
I thought it was silly but fun.. I'm sure there was not a dry set of pantys in the house.

Recommendation if your a teen girl go see it.. If your a teen guy...warning you'll lose 10+ points of testosterone.

I give it a 8 out of 10...

Doggy Poo teaser trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwo09Mrjj8s&NR=1

Yup, that's right, it's a movie about a little shit :o

This is just one of those films you have to see to believe. Not that it's a particularly bad film -- in fact the claymation itself is quite good -- it's just that it's the most bizarre story imaginable, made all the more bizarre when you consider that it comes from Korea; a nation that's often associated with dogs ... but for different reasons.

In summary:
Crap story and, unlike a common feature found in many turds, there's no twist in the tale (tail) at the end.

Avatar 2009

No spoilers... I'll just say go see it.
I'll give it a 9 out of 10.... Only because you have seen this story before.

The tech gets a 10 out of 10.

You must see this film in imax 3d... it's the first 3d film that I've seen where 3d is worth it.

Law Abiding Citizen (2009)

Good movie imo, 9/10
Both Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler are very good in their roles. Some of what happens is predictable, but it still kept me very interested 100% during the entire movie.

Brothers (Released December 2009)

Excellent movie, 9/10. While this specific story is based on a marine held in captive that returns to his family after they think he died, the reality of what some must go through after serving their country hits you hard watching this, and it is depicted very well in this film.

The Fifth Element

a genuinely mediocre sci-fi film, on the level of armageddon or independence day - but partially salvaged by a great line from bruce willis.

Anyone else wanna negotiate?

I call it "disaster porn". People who are inclined to stop to look at car wrecks should enjoy it the most. 8)

But a lot quirkier than both, surely? More skin, more visual jokes and fashion, alien opera singer, piggish stormtroopers, Gary Oldman...

Independence Day starts out as disaster porn and turns into the equivalent of a 50's war movie from there. Armageddon starts out same but turns into The Dirty Dozen.
