File sharing perhaps? ;)

Or, if it's in the lounge, anything you like, so long as it's not political, religious, illegal, or otherwise offensive to others.

Never realised until now:

9) No warez/key genz/serialz requests. Please dot ask for the location of specific files, programs, movies or other copyrighted material. Slyck is not the appropriate forum for such requests

Dot should be Don't I assume :wink:

Ha! I blame Bill Gates..

Anyway, we have a new rule for you all to enjoy...

10) No copyrighted web/hash/NZB links or requests. Do not post or reference any copyrighted web/hash/NZB links to files that exist on networks such as BitTorrent, eDonkey2000 or Usenet. In addition, do not request such files. Slyck is not a indexing/request site for these networks.

The links on the side only link to sites that carry ED2K links/Torrents.

An ED2K link/Torrent link posted here would bypass the need for such sites, making Slyck a hub of CR material requests .

Links to Sites, with ED2K/Torrents, etc

ED2K/Torrents lead directly to CR material.

How about getting these rules posted as a sticky in each section? The amount of times I have seen people being referred to the rules, some of these times are by accident, they didnt read the rules. They dont know what the rules are because they're posted in the lounge.
Just a suggestion.

Nice site.
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

I know I have been off working a lot lately, but was it getting SO bad that we had to lay down the law...???

It is good that we have parameters for some of the "rowdier" participants...but I don't remember it ever getting TOO crazy...

Did I miss something, or has this been brewing for a while...??

No, you didn't miss anything ;)

It's really just for new members, so that we don't have to keep repeating ourselves by pointing out what is and isn't allowed ..... and I guess it's only fair if we're expecting people to stick to the rules that they actually know what they are!

I'm glad to see we finally have a set of crystal-clear rules. Have they been working so far?
[code:1]char str[20];
scanf("%19s", &str);
if (!strcmpi(str, "Hello, world!"))
printf("Hello, programmer.\n");[/code:1]
