Share - new P2P file sharing software using Winny's ideas.

Share is new P2P file sharing network which use ideas of Winny and takes more features.
After Winny was stopped development,Share was started by anonymous Japanese engineer
He has no website or handle name,Because it is very risky to make P2P file sharing
software in Japan.Japanese police consider it is illegal to develop P2P software.
Users of Share called him Villege mayor or "Soncho".
Share network is not compatible to any other P2P network.
I think more than 10,000 peoples connect Share network,almost from Japan.
Uploading file is enciphered and convert to cache file and transfer to the
Downloader like Winny.
Cache file of Share is not conpatible to Winny's one and only Share can decode.
Unique feature of Share is force diffusion files.
If you put your files in upload folder.Share will convert to cache file and devided to
many pieces about 1MB each.Share will upload those pieces to neighborhood nodes.

So file transfer is always relayed by someone.The security of uploader will be kept by this feature
than Winny or other P2P.

Cluster
User can set "cluster words" untill five(Winny can set untill three)

Gotta vouch for Share. It's really fast, and with fewer problems than Winny (being under constant development helps). Of course, it's mainly only useful if you want Japanese stuff. Otherwise, add "english" to your cluster. But I've stopped using Winny and started using this only instead.

Some Winny users block western IPS and claim Westerners particuarly Americans are leechers but there is many Japanese leechers also .

The Share developers added Unicode because they wanted it to be easier to apply Engish Patches as they want western content on thier network just like any other non US contry they have to wait few months before they get the latest Movies and Music releases .

Ive got Share to run you need the node list and the latest version ,Im runnig it on Win XP so that may be the differece .I got the latest build and english files fron EXE's Site and the nodelist off one of the links on Uggu's Share site

Well, stay on the English clusters, don't mess with your cache, and you'll probably be fine.

Did you try restarting Share after you added the node list ?

Another problem maybe that Share is hashing your shared files so dont add your upload folder before you add your cache and download folders.

Share force diffuses shared files as soon as you add them onto other users caches.

As I said I have A78 working with the english localisiation file and it works great .

It would be good if we could start a English node list

thx for ur help, i've tried everything but it doesn't work ... is the share download an installer or a simple exe file without the need of installing it? caue i get the errors when i double click on the file after "enzipping" it with wizip

Sounds like a corrupt zip file theres no isntaller so try again with EXE's version .
The offical Share zip file Should come with 5 files , 4 .txt files and the Share .exe . Locale.txt is the only file Share uses in this package the others are just for info and in Japanese .
You will still need a nodelist like Winny and the localisation file. Both are text files and no need to run in headless mode like Winny .You can get all these files from Serika's site .You can also get the English readme and history files from here .

Its a Japanese site with some English just look for the download link.there you find Share and the english Locale file for Share(??)A78 .
It may be a good idea if you could package these together for distribution on your site remeber its not illeagal to disrtibute p2p software if your country allows p2p software development .
Theres also software called nodeKUN that makes it easy to download node lists or you could pack a current nodelist with every new version which is about once a month with Share .

OK, I, and some friends, have been having a problem with Share that I've seen a lot of people post about (on P2P Storm among other places).

We connect, we search, then all the nodes disappear after 20 seconds or so.

Plus the nodes we see are just Check, Test, Search and Diffuse. Nothing but.

Now I assumed my problem might be that I'm on a lan on which I cannot get ports forwarded to me (Nothing I can do about this), which essentially makes me a passive user. I don't know if you can be passive on Share, but I assumed not, so I thought I was screwed.

However, a friend with an active connection, cable modem, has been having the same problem, and he tried using ports that he knew were ok, like those that worked with WinMX.

He should be able to connect, but he seems to be in my boat. Can he jump ship? Could we both?

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you're pretty well fucked. Even if it's just a bug, you have no way of fixing it since it's not open source, no way of reporting it since it's japanese, and even if it did get fixed you'd still have the problem of not being able to forward your ports, which is something that's pretty necessary for most programs to be fully useful.

I don't think they like us, or our inferior connections bogging down their network from halfway around the world. And besides, ALL the content on the network is in Japanese! Do you speak japanese? Cause I sure as hell don't, so even though this is the most popular anonymous p2p program made to date, it's pretty much useless for folks outside of asia.

If it's anonymous p2p that you're into, there's networks that have more english content than Share, and you or your friend would do well to just move on, since it's not really working out anyway. Two of the most popular at the moment are MUTE and Ants, you might have more luck with those if that's the kinda thing you're after.

I am looking for DVD ISOs and rips of Japanese films either not released overseas, or released in "butchered" versions.

If there's some other more popular type of filesharing going on in Japan that you know of, please tell me, but from what I've learned so far, this is the place to be.

Again, if you have any advice on getting online with share, I'd appreciate hearing it.
