Hey, did anyone notice that something has changed?

Yes, we upgraded to the newest phpbb version. YAY..

We anticipate lots of bugs and glitches and will try to have them all sorted as soon as possible.

Enjoy!

Liking the new forums. Some things will take a little getting use to, but I'll definitely manage considering how much shinier the forums are now. 8) :D

Edit: I noticed some of you contain broken links to your avatar. That would explain the 'view avatar' link right above your username. I suggest possibly fixing the links to your avatars or the 'view avatar' link will just link to your profile instead.

dear lord I can't believe Slyck FINALLY updated!!

It will definately take some getting used to...

I prefer having the postbit (avatars etc) on the left hand side... is that an individual setting thing?

the avatars on the right is not a selectable option, it just IS. i think, tho, that i'm gonna end up liking it that way. since most of us are left to right oriented, it makes it easier to ignore them if u choose to :)

I actually like the new layout. At first I thought I accidentally clicked on different kind of forum.

Even though the old layout can always been seen on archive.org for nostalgic sake, it's always a nice touch and refreshing when a new layout comes along.

I don't like the avatars on the right side either. It looks really odd since no other forum I know has them there. Image

Other than that, it's not bad, just different. Image

It appears as tho users post counts are not incrementing in the postbit. Mine for example as been at 1462 since the upgrade.

So, I lied - to a point. Not all forums are counting posts within. I just made a post in the tech/other section for example and my post count did not increase. This forum, however, appears to be fine.

Another issue - when submitting news, the forms do not recognise that you are signed in therfore all submissions are Anonymous.

Thankyou to everyone involved for our shiny new forums, I guess a lot of hard work goes into something that we may take for granted :toast:

Is there any way to remove the names of the bots and crawlers that appear in the "who is online" section?

piX: post count issue identified. bear with me on this one, it's fixable but unless i figure something else out it'll take a bit of time i don't have tonight. will get on it tomorrow at the latest, and have no fear, this software makes it easy to recalculate post counts, so once it's all tweaked properly, we can set the record straight.

piX: not signed in for submissions passed to the boss man ;)

bluebird: you're welcome :)

multi: good question. will look into that.

We seem to have lost the ability to sort the members list. They appear in chronological joining order only.

There's no link to take you 'home' at the bottom of each page. I miss this one badly.

Well, I did help test things. I was going to answer most of your questions, but looks like Fred got them all already :(

Ah well. Either way, if any of you need help with adjusting your profile settings, I'll try and answer via this thread (or PM if you prefer) :)

Essentially, if you want to change avatars, everything is actually in the User Control Panel. While it seems like you have a tonne of different options, many of the options are actually just broken up into different tabs as opposed to being on one big page. :)
