Postby Captain America » Tue Apr 03, 2007 12:04 pm

I was thinking, it be cool if slyck could get a live shoutbox for the forums. Be an easy way to get to know people better on here.

That's a bit of a redundant statement on a forum.

I think a shoutbox would be an awesome addition.. might even nuke some of the spam threads lol because people could use the spambox err shoutbox to chat.

Also, these forums definately need a nice Ajax refresh, or a quick reply feature or something!

Might want to hide it by default for guests, and other users that haven't logged in/registered yet.

Or at least, show it and let them see the chat, but can't enter... right now its a empty box if you aren't logged in.

That was intentional.

I wanted guests to know that it's there, but I didn't want them to be able to post messages or see the messages. The main reason being to make it less attractive to spammers since less people will see what they post -- If someone registers just to post spam, only registered users will see it until the messages (and the user) are deleted.

would it be possible to have the shoutbox show by default the last interventions rather than the first ones?
