Friends-Only Sharing:

I would also suggest creating a "private sharing" category for clients such as Grouper, Qnext, Alliance, etc. which are used to create defined sets of invitation-only sharing partners.


Anonymous P2P:

I'd also like to suggest creating an anonymous P2P section, for all the self-proxying P2P networks such as Freenet, Mute, Ants, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I thought I'd continue making suggestions here, as I believe that page is for updating an individual client to the current version, rather than suggesting structural changes to the software section of the site. (Maybe I should suggest providing a section to submit general comments not related to program updates.)

well, that's not correct. that page is for suggesting any changes to a program listing. this certainly includes suggesting it be moved to a different category. the only way i have of updating a program listing is by clicking on a submitted change request. because you submitted nothing, i had to go through each program myself, submit a change request myself, and then go to the page that allows me to process those change requests. i will not speak for anyone else, but now that you know how this works, i will say that i will not repeat that process in the future.

I just submitted 16 program updates, of which 14 involved creating a new section for anonymous P2P.

well, then those will have to wait. only ray can create a new section, as far as i know
