Not sure, but there was a problem. Coincided with two posts being locked, but probably not connected.

Anyways, all well now.

Fair enough.

earlier today this thread cropped up: http://www.slyck.com/forums/viewtopic.p ... highlight=

I learned that it had been spurred on by another thread: http://www.slyck.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14110 in which someone asked for a mod to lock the thread, naming myself

I'm a news writer, and a relative noob at that,so I conferred with SlyckScratch who agreed that this was all becoming a bit too lame and took appropriate action.

Moments after he did so, the site started timing out. At the time I suspected that "someone" was launching a DoS attack on Slyck, just a guess, but everything returned to normal after 15 - 20 minutes. I've heard nothing since.

All a bit juvenile really

I see well that was an interesting read, just goes to add weight to the argument about the level of conversation of debate dropping.
Oh well these nice people are all over the net, just wish they would stay away from here. :(
Ta RM05 for the fill in by the way.

Welcome mate. To be honest, I think that it's much the same as before - there's always a small percentage of morons, trolls, shills and so forth.

The most important thing is that we're nipping it in the bud a lot quicker nowadays
