I voted yes. I thought that it was a good idea.
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

I voted yes. I like most of the polls, as do most of the users, it seems, considering how many we have. He's right. A lot of sites have polls like this.

I think what he means is to have one that actually merits attention and actual thoughtfulness.

Something of importance or something we would actually like to know about our members/visitors and their views. Rather than, lets' say, what we're eating at this moment. No offense to that particular thread or any of the others.

Maybe the admins could pm different members on a particular day, asking them if they would like to submit a poll. They could go over any ideas and pick one for the day. If that's not too time consuming. I know there is a lot to do on boards like this.

My sediments exactly!
But it would also have to be P2P related. The problem with this is that many of the worth while polls have been done already; and the best way to keep this thing going (while still being useful) would be to discourage other congruent (non-lounge related) polls to aviod running out of ideas; because redundant polls are not useful (within certain time frames).

Merci RM05.

True, PC. Ideas could become scarce. It would take some real thought for some interesting results.

Assyrian, it is always something the admin could keep on the back burner.
