fileserver

Postby Henky » Tue Feb 27, 2007 10:38 am

I use trend as antivirus (frewall), have a Sylinkrouter, use Mirc612 (advised by the autor of the fileserver), as fileserver I use Panzer2.4. When someone triggers my fileserver he gets
'unable to connect'. I use 2 clients and when I trigger the fileserver wth thhe 2) client it works.
I’m on irc.xs4all.nl or irc.evonet.be
The ports from the router and fserver are both 4000 and 5000

thanks

sounds like you need to sort out the ports on your firewall/router.

The ports from the fileserver and the router are both 1028 and 5000, are this the right ports ?
How come if someone triggers the fileserver he gets 'unable to connect'. ?
thanks

U aren't forwarding all the ports u need.

U set a range in mRIC like 5010-5020, 1 port per DCC session you expect. 5000 is just the 'listening' port which is moved to another port when a dccsend or dccchat to continue the converstation, and free up the listening port to listen for more clients. Keep researching your mIRC dcc settings.

In the router do I click on Application&Gaming and then on port range forwarding ?
