need help with mIRC

:) hi,
i am new to useing the program mIRC and i seem to be haveing a little problem with downloading files ever file i try to download it saids on status accepting send connection failed can anyone please help me out :cry:

Make sure you turn off the file type ignore in the options. By default most file types are ignored.

Sometimes turning the DCC server on might also help, if the sending bot is behind a firewall.

wow is this program hard to use or what but nice program i wanted to ask something eles ever time i go into a channel why is it that after some time it saids closing idle connection in 30 seconds and then it siads dcc session closed is there anyway of stoping this from happening is there a setting or something that i can change

The DCC session is the window that pops up when you open an fserve session with a !Trigger. You should get what you want from the DCC (fserver)and then disconnect, otherwise it disconnects you.

You should still be in a chat channel for more than 30 seconds.
